Heckert Solar increases Production Capacity

Ground Work for a new 300 MWp facility just started.

The Heckert Solar AG establishes in the south of Chemnitz a new 2-storied futuristic looking factory building to satisfy the rising demand for high-efficiency modules for the pv industry. Only in April of this year the enterprise had moved to its new headquarters at Carl-von-Bach-Street established in the second construction phase.

In the now following third construction phase poly- and mono-crystalline modules of outstanding quality are to be produced on highly automated lines in a brand new facility. Already in July the first modules should leave the new plant. In 2010 the nominal capacity will be then increased up to 140 MWp/year coming from 90 MWp/year today. All together the new building offers even space for arrangements with a whole capacity of 300 MWp/year. „With our new plant we have created the conditions to be able to react within short time to the growing demand for Heckert Solar modules - made in Germany - and to even further develop our capacities. This is why we will not only be able to fill our existing factory to a high extent; on this base we can go on investing in other state-of-the-art production lines.“ so marketing and sales manager Till K. Uhle. The new site was planned again by the Chemnitz architecture office furoris-X-art.
