Sales Team visits Cell Manufacturer

The german-netherland Solland B.V. features an impressive quality management.

At the end of June a part of the sales team of Heckert Solar visited the plant of the Solland Solar Cells BV. The enterprise develops and makes multi crystalline solar cells - with whose help sunlight is converted into power energy - with a capacity of 170 MWp (2009).
Solland is exactly on the border between Germany and the Netherlands in an area called "Avantis". Heckert Solar was the third customer of the enterprise that started production only in 2005 and is one of the most important buyers in 2009. The participants of the excursion were impressed by technology and quality. The research and developing department of Solland looks worldwide constantly for new technologies, procedures and devices which can be implemented in their production process. The research department and developing department tries to put out new trends which can matter to their enterprise or the solar energy market in his totality, if possibly at the earliest stage. The present thickness of the wafer amounts to 180 microns, and the optimization of the efficiency of the solar cells is a continuous main focus.
